03-04 Cobra Inter-Cooler Coolant System

     Our Inter-Cooler Coolant System is for 03-04 Cobra Engines and really any engine that uses the same basic design layout, meaning a Front Mounted Radiator, Coolant Circulation Pump, Reservoir, and Inter-Cooler Water to Air Inter-Cooler. 

     The whole idea of our system is to take the complexity and random component fitting sizes out of the equation, and give a comprehensive system that supplies the system with coolant through a common size hose with the least amount of restriction possible.  The stock Ford Cobra system is very complex, ugly and expensive to piece together.  It also allows for excessive heat soaking of the coolant lines, which reduces the systems effectiveness.  System fittings, very between 5/8" , 3/4" and 7/8", which makes for problems when trying to connect a common hose between the many parts of the system.  Another huge problem is the ability to disconnect or remove the parts from the system, weather for repair or for access to other parts.  The typical hose connection is very stiff and generally requires damage to the hose to remove.  This isn't that bad for the average guy that never works on his engine, but for a racer, or car builder that has to mock things up time and again to get the fit right, or service the engine for basic between round maintenance, this gets to be a problem.  The other consideration is looks, yes all car owners are conscious of who their engines look, and nothing looks worse than a mess of ugly black rubber hoses. 

     When we designed our Inter-Cooler Hose System, we had several basic ideals:

1.     Take the complexity out of the system.  We thought it through, so you don't have to.

2.     Design a system that flows better than the original system.  We keep the hose sizes maximized to take advantage of better flow, and allow bigger, better flowing, circulation pumps.

3.     Make it easy to work with.  We have most lines with at least one end pre-terminated, and provide complete instructions.  Our kits come complete with all the Adapters, Reducers, Couplings, Hose, Fittings and Clamps needed, it a complete kit that solves all the issues.

4.     Design the system so repairs and maintenance can be performed easier, easy  to make and break fittings with rock solid reliability.  Our system converts all the push-on type fittings to a Threaded, AN type System!

5.     Make the system look good, use quality AN Fittings and Hoses…Plus offer accessories like the Temperature Gauge and Pressure Gage Kits, to monitor system performance.

6.     We use only Oetiker Single Ear Stainless Steel Clamps in our kits, these clamps have a very sleek and modern look to them, while providing a leak free seal.  They provide a custom look and we even include a set of Oetiker crimping Plies with the kit.

7.     Keep it flexible….that way individuals could use or system on other then stock Cobra Mustangs.  All Inter-Cooler system consist of the same parts, so by offering systems of different lengths, we could accommodate 99% of those wishing to use our system for their individual application.

     We supply each push-on fitting, which is all of the stock fittings, with short sections of AN Hose, one end is attached to the barbed fitting, and the other comes with a AN Swivel Type Threaded Fitting.  Once all the barb or push-on fittings have been converted to our adapter hoses, then they simply get connected up by similar hoses, with these having AN fittings on both ends, which makes the connection a breeze, and future disconnection even easier.  We can also accommodate any custom layout you might have, give us a call.

Inter-Cooler Starter System

    

     Our Starter System is shown above, it allows you to start your Inter-Cooler system off right, right from the start, at the Inter-Cooler water coolant connection under the super-charger.  Our system uses AN-10 Hose and Fittings to extend the connection out far enough to start your system and get all connection out from under the Blower Assembly..  The connection at the Inter-Cooler Manifold, are firmly held in place by Stainless steel one ear Oetiker Clamps, that will not fail.  This system allows quick and leak-proof connections for easy system maintenance and removal of parts.

Pressure Gauge Kit

      One accessory we have to the Inter-Cooler Coolant Hose System, is the Pressure Gauge Kit. This allows you to monitor the system and its Circulation Pump easily. We typically mount it right at the inter-section where the coolant exits the inter-cooler, But you can mount it anywhere you see fit, If mounted in both the inlet and outlet hoses, you can monitor system health, by observing the Pressure Differential on each side of the pump. We use a high quality Stainless Steel, Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge, and all necessary fittings are included for a easy to install option.

Temperature Gauge Kit

     The Temperature Gauge Kit, like the Pressure Gauge Kit, is for monitoring the Inter-Cooler Coolant System.  You have to know what your system is doing to get the most out of it, and to prevent damage to the engine.  Our easy to install system, allows you to monitor the inter-cooler coolant, either as it enters the inter-cooler or as it exists, or both with two kits.  We use only the best materials, with Stainless Steel Gauge, and all necessary fittings included.

Inter-Cooler Coolant Circulation Pumps

    We offer two different Circulation Pumps, one is the stock Ford 03-04 Cobra - Lightning Pump and the other is a Billet Aluminum Meziere HP 20 Gal/Min Pump.  Both are very popular, and give great service, but the Stock Ford Pump only flows at 6 Gal/Min, while the Meziere pump flows over twice that amount.  If purchasing the Meziere Pump, along with the Coolant Hose Kit, you will get the correct screw in fittings for that pump.  The Ford replacement pump uses Over-Sized Push-on fittings, which are standard in the kit.  Please state which pump you are using...
